Ruined tower

A prototype of using the Hirst blocks in a freeform manner.

  1. Thanks. I should have used an oblique light source, the flash makes it all look pretty flat. The broken tower walls are actually a couple inches tall.

The foam-core poster board I used is cheap (bought from a dollar store) and the paper soaked up the paint and dissolved the glue, so it separated and I had to try to glue it back down, so the “ground” is sorta uneven, warped and bubbly. Maybe that’s more realistic, but it wasn’t intentional and it’s more than a little irritating.

I plan on putting a ladder to the top of the hill and some wooden scaffolding for archers to stand and shoot. It came out OK.
